What's Lifestyle Photography?

Let's talk about this term "Lifestyle" Photography.


Different than Portrait Photography it focuses often on certain movements or activities the photographer "prompts" the subjects to act out in order to create these really sweet and candid moments between them.


The word "Lifestyle" points right to the core of this type of photography - it's supposed to capture the LIFE of the clients. Meaning, when I get the pleasure of working with a family with young children, I aim to capture their current life with little kids - sweet, funny, gentle, crazy and wild emotions are most parent's reality in that stage of life.


So let's capture these REAL emotions and highlight them in order to create images which will preserve actual feelings for a lifetime!

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

First of all - be proud of yourself for taking the steps to invest in yourself by reaching out and trusting in a professional. High quality photographs like these will be treasured for a lifetime!

The next step is to relax and take a breath! I know it can feel scary to be in front of the camera but the "Lifestyle" aspect of my approach highlights the natural dynamics and interactions which obviously don't require any posing experience. I will guide you and your family members through everything and all I need you to do is to have fun! Lifestyle Photography focuses on natural and candid moments and those will easily come to you when you're having a good time!

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

I’m happy to travel to locations within a 15-mile radius by car. Locations requiring more than a 30-minute drive may be subject to an additional travel fee, which will always be communicated with you in advance before being added to your booking price.

Can you recommend any locations?

Downtown D.C. /National Mall, Monuments in Washington D.C., National Arboretum, Old Town Alexandria, Burke Lake Park, Manassas Battlefield Park, In the comfort of your own home

How long does it take until the Gallery is ready?

It takes up to three weeks for a Gallery to be delivered after the Client finished marking their favorite images within the "Preview Gallery".
